Bridge Mentoring

SOWMA’s Bridge Mentoring Program helps high school and college-age students explore educational and career opportunities with the guidance of a volunteer mentor.

We are honored to have received national status by the National Quality Mentoring System (NQMS) in partnership with Massachusetts Mentoring Partnership.  This achievement reflects the “strength of our mission, systems, and commitment to program excellence.”  Read more about this notable achievement by clicking the Silver Partner award logo above.

We place special emphasis on working with unaccompanied youth, ages 16 – 25, who are on their own without the support of a parent or guardian.

In addition to helping students navigate high school, college or vocational training, we support students through GED study, HiSet exams, internships, job placement and apprenticeships. Most of our Bridge Mentoring students are the first in their family to pursue a post-secondary degree.
