Dinner and Awards
June 12, 2025
With deep gratitude and appreciation, we salute the heartbeat of our mission, each and every one of our volunteers. We welcome you to learn more about the many ways you can become part.
Scott Killgoar Rockland Trust
Scott has been a driving force behind Rockland Trust’s year-round engagement, rallying his team to show up consistently for the children and youth we serve. As a mentor, Scott also walks alongside a student on his academic and career path, offering guidance, encouragement, and steady support. Last year alone, he inspired more than 70 colleagues to donate more than 240 hours of their time, bringing not just school supplies and volunteerism, but energy and compassion to our mission. Scott’s leadership and infectious enthusiasm continue to leave a lasting mark for our mission and students.
Jacob Tebbe
While preparing for medical school this fall, Jake Tebbe still finds time to volunteer at three of our Boston tutoring sites. His calm, thoughtful presence and deep understanding of math and science have been transformative for students. Jake has a rare talent for breaking down difficult concepts into manageable steps, helping students turn frustration into confidence. As he begins his next chapter in medicine, we know his future patients will be lucky as he’s already mastered the art of care and connection.
Robb Giardino
Since being matched with student Aaron in early 2024, Robb and his mentee have formed a bond rooted in trust, respect, and mutual growth. Robb shows up with consistency and compassion, listening without judgment and leading with humility. He reminds us that the most meaningful impact often comes from simply being present. Robb would be the first to say this relationship goes both ways, and it’s clear that both he and his mentee continue to learn and grow together. Their connection embodies the very heart of our mentoring program.
Boston Mutual Life Insurance Making an Impact Team
Boston Mutual has become a cornerstone of our support network, and the powerhouse women leading the charge, Christine Williams, Cindy Sparks, Pam Terrell, and Nora Hoffman, are the reason why. Through their Making an Impact committee, they have organized supply drives and supported daily operations and our events, showing up just when we needed them! We are most grateful for their help during the pandemic, when they rolled up their sleeves to help keep our services active. Their commitment reaches every corner of our work, helping us serve students with the consistency and care they need and deserve.
Lauren Weigold
Whether she’s organizing supply drives or running the Falmouth Road Race, Laren Weigold brings purpose and energy to everything she does. She’s raised thousands to support our programs and even brought her company, GenServ, along for the ride. With tireless dedication, she delivers school supplies to our students in Boston, rallies supporters for her charity run, and even recruited husband Corey and friend Stephanie Piacente! Her impact speaks volumes about what one person can do when they lead with both heart and hustle.
Two Men & a Truck Matt Inman & Harry McDade
From donating beloved books like When Grandma Gives You a Lemon Tree to managing our storage and heavy lifting, Two Men and a Truck do far more than move boxes, they move our mission forward. Their behind-the-scenes support is essential to our “heavy-lift” events, like the annual spring Run, Walk & Wag, and their reliability makes them an indispensable partner. Their generosity helps us meet a need, quietly but powerfully, wherever it arises
Oliver Ames High School Transition Program Students Curtis & Andre
For the past several years, Curtis Cummings and Andre Hood from Oliver Ames High School have been a consistent and uplifting presence in our central office. As part of the school’s Transition Team, they’ve contributed their time for the past several years, helping with day-to-day operations and sharing smiles along the way. As they graduate and begin their next journey, we’re proud of who they’ve become and grateful for all they’ve given. We will miss them both!
