The Bridge Mentoring Program hosted a delightful Ice Cream Social as mentors and mentees gathered for a fun afternoon of connection, laughter, and  sundae creations. With a full toppings bar (sprinkles, gummy bears, hot fudge galore), everyone got to unleash their inner sundae cravings!

But the best part? Watching mentees meet each other, swap stories, and build upon their own support network. It turns out nothing breaks the ice like, well – ice breakers; and there were lots of those games too.

Mentors caught up with staff and other volunteers – and each other – while students shared goals and dreams, high school milestones, college applications, apprenticeships and everything in between.

“Our mentors understand that our program is designed to extend a hand, not to pull someone behind them, but to walk beside them,” said program director Brittany O’Hare.

It was a sweet reminder of what our Bridge Mentoring Program is all about: community, connection and empowerment.

Big thanks to everyone who made the day unforgettable.  Shoutout to Roche Bros. Supermarket for sponsoring the event.
