Julie is an educator and the McKinney-Vento liaison for New Bedford public schools. She has been a partner of SOWMA for more than a decade, including spearheading the Sailing into Kindergarten program at New Bedford's Buttonwood Park Zoo, where families of rising kindergartners enjoy a day at the zoo and a new, customized SOWMA backpack. Julie is also a board member of the Homeless Service Providers Network HSPN of New Bedford.
