Zachary's Story: Colder Weather and More Food!

Hello!

In November it got colder here in Korea--about 40-50 degrees Fahrenheit during the days! I'll be heading downtown to buy some warm clothes (Thank you Randolph Savings!)

And of course, here are some more food pictures. The dish with the cheese is Jjimdak, and I didn't catch the name of the food in the pan, but it is mainly fried rice and chicken. The tray was a breakfast from the dormitory I live in. It may be interesting to see! I think in the United States, people would only call that a dinner, and it would be strange otherwise. Quite frankly, I enjoy being able to eat such things in the morning without any criticism.

Other than hanging out with friends, going out to eat and such, classes are going well.

Now to the main entry in this update.

Did you know that South Korea, despite having become a developed country rather recently, has one of the highest education systems in the world? What has been said, and something I've definitely noticed, is the fact that Korean students study really hard and are serious about education, and with that there is high-quality education.

Lately I have been thinking quite a bit about what I want do in the future. I am becoming interested in Computer and Electrical Engineering, dealing with technology in a more physical sense--this field is quite complicated and highly technological. I also want to have great skill in Mathematics, which I hold quite a passion for to master. As for Korea and Korean, I think it would be a waste if it did not have a continued presence and relevancy to me in some way in the future.

During winter vacation, I am expecting to take some trips to two other major cities--Seoul and Busan. I expect that my friends will help me get around, so I am very grateful for that!

Until next time,
Zachary
